Water Bottles (5 gallon)
If you have water delivered to your home, you probably get it in the 5 gallon water bottle size. These are rather large, and if you don’t get them at home, you probably see them at work. Most of the water that you find in public comes from water fountains, but work spaces and homes usually get the large jugs. Most of the time you can get the 5 gallon water bottle delivered any time you need one, and you get a dispenser that it fits on top of rather easily. You just have to be strong enough to get it up there. There may be some companies that can do this for you, but I don’t know for sure.
We have a 5 gallon water bottle in our home, but it’s not full of water. My daughter has it in her bedroom, and she is filling it up with pennies. I’m not sure what we are going to do when she gets it filled up, as it will be impossible to lift. You can fit a lot of pennies in a 5 gallon water bottle. Though I like that she is starting to understand that if you save money you have more money in the end, I’m not sure if this is the best way to go about it. We are going to have to find some way to get those pennies into the bank, and I have no idea how we are going to do it.
You can use a 5 gallon water bottle for many things, and you may just want to use it for water. Though these are often too heavy to carry on their own, if you have a way to move them, this might be a great idea if you suspect there is a storm coming. You can fill the 5 gallon water bottle with water in the event that you cannot get water from your tap for a few hours or even a few days. I wouldn’t suggest long-term water storage this way, but if you think you may have a problem from a storm, this might be the way to go.
If you are a creative person, you can probably find other things to do with a 5 gallon water bottle. To be honest, I’m not sure where we got ours, and I don’t know where you can get one to keep in your home. I do know that if you get your water delivered in a 5 gallon water bottle that you must give them back when you get a new one. I suppose if you were willing to pay the asking price that your water company might allow you to keep one in your home for whatever reason you may have in mind.
